3 Tips For Keeping Your Mind, Body & Space Organized

Tip 1. Be Mindful When Making Purchases

When you enter a store do you know why you are there? Do you wander in to window shop only to leave with a cartful of unnecessary items? If this has become a habit, you've probably started to notice a lot of clutter building up. If you can't picture how you will use it or where it will live, be weary of bringing it into your space.

Is it hard to leave a cute new (fill in the blank) at the store or in your virtual shopping cart? Well, Yes! But it’s so worth it when you can tidy your clutter free home in minutes.

Tip 2. Find a Healthy Hobby

It may be easier to lay on the couch rather than taking your dog for a walk. But, is it satisfying? If you're not healthy, or just don't feel healthy, make small changes to get there.
Taking on 10 new habits can be overwhelming,  so start with one, master that, then move onto the next. Taking on too much too soon can lead to feelings of overwhelm. If you make a huge change and it doesn't stick, you may feel more miserable than before you began. Finding and sticking to new healthy hobby will make you feel more energized to tackle the hard stuff in life.

Tip 3. Learn Something New

Learning a new skill keeps your brain young by developing neural pathways. You will get more feel goods by doing something new than just your same, old, boring routine. Your brain needs new images and experiences to keep it in good optimal condition. Working out your biggest muscle (your brain) will have benefits for your entire well being.

Again, start with one hobby and start small. For example, If you are learning the guitar, purchase a starter guitar and work from there. See if you're compelled to play with it or if it just sits and collects dust. Be careful not to run out and purchase everything associated with playing the guitar. That way if things don't work out, you don't have to kick yourself for spending so much money or feel guilty for letting go of lost good intentions.

When one hobby ends, look for another. Remember once a hobby ends it's also time to reassess the intention for the items remaining in your home. If you no longer have a use for them, pass it on.

Focus, Conquer, Repeat!
